Default Dodge ball Tournament at Relay For Life. Need Opinions

As the title says, I am thinking of doing a dodge ball tournament for our relay for life. The money would go towards American Cancer Society. It is something different from the typical softball/ basketball tournaments.
My thoughts:
10 person ($50 team)
See if local shop will donate or sell trophy's for cheap
Teams can make their own shirts. (Supports local print shops/people)
Hold it the same night as the actual relay for life.
Working with the school since they do the relay there and not the track anymore. Have it in the gym. easier to contain things.

Any other ideas?
Would people be opposed to donate money if i was to set up a paypal account for donations?

You'd have my support. Fun and great Idea. Maybe have a couple food stands to help out the cause even more.
