So, since the IRS is one of the shut down agencies... do we still have to pay taxes?

I wonder if they were aware of the lawsuit? Maybe that is why they were willing to settle out of court?
Is he still practicing there, or did he move on?

Last I heard he is still here. All he did for me is remove a mole. I wasn't driving to a doctor in the city for that.

How do you ef up removing a mole? Must have been some ugly, hairy, cancerous sucker! Or, did YOU go to the wrong doctor?
What I am getting at is, if he has been successfully sued and had out of court settlements, how much of a practice can he have in a small town?

Anyone can file a lawsuit. I'm not sure what procedure the two people that were suing him had done. Settling out of court is done for about 9 out of 10 suits that are actually heading to court. Settling out of court can save the legal costs incurred and possible save money if the case would have been lost. Settling out of court isn't the same as being successfully sued nor does it mean that fault is proven.

I am well aware of how it works. What I am getting at is the fact that this individual has had 2 known lawsuits and God knows what else filed against him. I mean everybody is entitled to one mistake, maybe 2 (just not as your doc). But he is still in practice?
So why does it make sense for the insurance company to keep covering this guys ***** and passing the costs along to the consumer?

How do we know he actually did anything wrong? Insurance companies play the dollar game. It cost money to take a case to court so if they settled for an amout that made it more financially sound to pay, the do. Should every doctor who gets sued or settled out of court be denied insurance? If so we would not have a shortage of military doctors, that's for sure.

Chances are that he did, it was just never tried in court, but I see your point!

What I am trying to point out is the fact that the insurance company's and the lawyers have their fingers in it from every angle going both ways, but you don't see any affordable legal advice offered up by the Feds!

It's only a matter of time before some whacko storms into a school with a rifle and some ex Marine draws down and ends his ***.

Then, rather than acknowledge that a gun saved lives, they will start a debate on mental illness and go on and on about how deadly force wasn't necessary - you know, cause some pencil neck liberal hiding behind a desk would know better about something they didn't participate in than a battle hardened vet who was being shot at protecting children.

Mark it down.
