I'm not sure what this says about some of those that comprise the "uncommitted voters" category, when even devout Democrats weren't as generous to Obama regarding how the outcome was viewed.
You might consider the remote possibility that devout Democrats can be objective too and are not led by the pied piper. Obama did a terrible job and Romney did a great job and I've heard no one say different!
Winning a debate doesn't mean people will change their votes! Romney beat the pants off Obama, but I don't care who is the best debater. I care who represents my values. If Obama comes back strong and clearly wins the next debate how many on this forum will change their vote? The answer is less than zero!
Uncommitted voters scare me! I suspect most of them have been paying no attention and don't pay attention until the end like I watch the baseball world series. I barely know whose playing until the hipe starts for the world series. That's frightening when it comes to electing the president. If the debate was the first time I had listened to Romney I wouldn't know how much he has changed basic positions and might think he had come consistant values. I wouldn't know that he even changed some positions during the debate that his own staff didn't know about such as claiming that his healthcare program will accept pre-existing conditions.... which it will not! His staff did damage control and corrected that flat out lie the next day hoping to stave off criticism!
The uncommitted voter focus groups I saw were not impressive. One Pro Romney man came out and said he's always leaned toward Romney, but wanted more information! That's not an uncomitted voter to me!
A young girl said she was now pro Obama because she felt he was talking to her.... which made her seem a little too easily impressed by attention! Scarey!
I think at this point it's more about uncommitted voters and voter turnout! That's why we have another big Voter Suppression push to reduce the numbers of poor and older Democratic voters.
Pennsylvania has been blocked on their requirement of Picture I.D., but MSNBC had to pressure the state to remove the "Just Show Your I.D." Requirement from their state website that might convince people that they would still be turned away at the polls! Nice! MSNBC is also introducing people that are proven legal voters but don't have picture I.D. with explanations why. My wife's aunt no longer drives and has never had a birth certificate as she was born without a doctor on the farm. So she would have to go through a lot of hoops before she could vote if Kansas had such a law! At 81, that's not much fun and just plain unamerican to do that to her since there is no evidence that voter fraud is a problem anywhere! Voters in heavily Democratic areas are getting hit with shortened voting hours that make it harder for poor working people to vote! Sunday voting has been eliminated in urban areas where Black Christian Churches traditionally drove their non driving, older folks to the polls after church. It's called winning at any cost!
