"Since 1987, the organization and overseeing of the arguments is masterminded by the Commission on Presidential Debates, a group that was jointly formed by the Democratic and Republican parties. According to the rules they have put in place, a candidate must show that they've polled favorable by at least 15 percent of Americans in any five major election questionnaires, a feat that Gov. Johnson has failed to do during his run for the White House. Johnson has, however, made a splash with voters dissatisfied by the GOP and Democratic candidates, and believes he has a viable chance at the November election. As of Friday, a Reason-Rupe poll had Gov. Johnson as the favorite among 6 percent of likely voters."
I believe that if a candidate is on the ballot then they should not be excluded from debating with the rest of the candidates... The media is 1 of the many reasons why most have not heard of the other 2 candidates on the ballot this November.
A realistic view of the debate should note a few things:
1. Obama underestimated Romney, and Romney prepared well for the debate. No excuses for that.
2. Obama has a few things to do here and there since he is actually the President, while Romney can apply all his time and energy to getting ready for a debate.
3. Challengers most often win, or look surprisingly good the first debate.
4. Smart money would bet that Obama will not do as poorly in the next debate, and that finally Romney will have to stick to what he has said in front of the debate audience. Obama will finally have some polices to attack that will not be constantly changing week by week.
#1 I can agree with this partly. Obama is so arrogant he thought he wouldn't be put on the spot and asked tough questions. Now he knows not to "under estimate" him. Maybe Romney is just a better debater. Obama is human and not gods gift for crying out loud.
#2 is quite comical. He was on numerous talk shows and even attended the 40/40 club. Plenty of time to prepare.
#3 All polls had Romney getting beat.
#4 Obama can attack Mitt's policies as much as he likes. Obama tried last night to get him to believe something Obama wanted him to. He mentioned the 5 trillion number 4-5 times after Romney repeated numerous times Obamas comments were inaccurate. I agree Obama will do better. He has no other way to go but up because last night he lost by a wide margin. But without his TelePrompTer he will struggle.
Well obviously the presidential campaign is all over((evasion)). Romney has won and will be the new president as you have all proved((deceit, misdirection)). At this point all the overkill of slamming Obama is just beating a dead horse((deceit, misdirection)). I expect Obama to read his concession speech sometime during the weekend((evasion))! The only unknown is which of the many Romneys we have seen will actually take office!((slander))

Your's was a blatant "Meme"! It's sole purpose, to incite by the promotion of a stereotype. To lazy to find an actual example to support your argument?

From now on its 24 hour bans though.Best bet is to not post them.Unless you have a good story behind them.
obviously my "meme" pic was taken in a way not intended. it was meant as a way of expressing how i felt about a post without trying to make it too PERSONAL and be seen as an attack on a member, so i kept it broad but did not mean it as a stereotype. i wont lie and say there was no intended effect of the pic but it applied to the context of the post. My lazy examples are noted in the first quote that i originally posted the picture in. my apologies, when working from a phone it is much easier to post a pic than try to disect a post to insert numerous comments, i got the laptop out just for this one
fair enough bk2, i understand your position better now. in the interest of fairness i did ask about political cartoons in the beginning of the thread but never received confirmation. i believed as long as the pic was relevant or contained a worded post it was allowed as i most cerainly have not adopted a "hit and run" attitude and stay to defend my position.

Don't worry, Obamas debating skills are "evolving". Just like all of his promisses from 3 1/2 years ago.

I'll agree with number 1. Number 2 is somewhat stretched seeing as how Obama has been all over the place campaigning just as much as Romney. His choice, not an excuse. Number 3 I'm not too sure on, haven't watched many debates in my day but by the looks of all the pre-debate polls, the dems didn't think the challenger always looks better. Number 4 I would agree with the first part but again, the second part is stretching it by claiming that Romney doesn't stick to anything he says which is a flat out lie.
You can't even agree the president might have more to do than Romney who say's he is unemployed and can devote all his time as he wishes.
Under the heading of flat out lies, Romney's own team did a little damage control today quickly contradicting his claim in the debates that his healthcare plan does not deny pre-existing conditions when it certainly does. If you don't admit that Romney changes positions as necessary you are simply not being object about obvious facts. All of his opponents in the primaries hit him with the evidence of that charge.
