No preparation needed, they already both blow

Or am I missing the point of this thread ?
I don't lean either way.I've said that i "think" i'm going to vote for Obama, Just because i already know how hard he fail's. I'd just soon keep him, Wait 4 years and then get a unknown, then we can start licking our wounds..

I don't answer political questions. I'm just a neutral person. I could care less who is or isn't voting for who.

I've stated the rules. They are for everyone. Like i said, I don't like beating the rules into people. But this thread would not be here without a couple people fighting for them. (And i don't even like political crap, I just like having a forum where people can talk about anything.)

Ramblings from the mind of a Falcon.

By nature politics will lead to emotional confrontations, it's a given. I refrained from responding for a long time on the last one but I did follow it. While the "your an idiot" and "are you stupid" comments shouldn't happen for the most part it has been civil given the topic. I have yet to have a Jihad thrown at me from opiniyawn .

As for your reason for voting Obama, it is the exact opposite for me. I'm not voting for Mitt because I think he's the right man for the job. I'm voting for him because Obama is the wrong man for the job. If Mitt gets elected I'm sure I will soon be posting negatively about something his administration will be doing and then someone will say "well you voted for him". That is the mentality of the die hard left or right. As a Libertarian I've been called many bad names by both side but it doesn't bother me as I realize their views on politics are told to them where as mine are formed by me. I've even had to go head to head with other Libertarians on issues because they hear what someone up the party chain has said and run with it without thinking.

If anything constructive comes from this thread I hope it is that some folks will start asking questions about their own party, look at what is going on and realize that just because one side blames the other doesn't mean that they shouldn't find out the truth for themselves.

..........

I don't think we get to vote for the right man for the job. I don't have the political knowledge or want the knowledge to push my opinion. From what i read and have heard, I believe i'm voting for Obama (This might change tomorrow, hell it might change while i'm getting ready to vote)

Beginning of the year i was totally anti Obama, But after reading and listening to Romney... Theres just something i don't feel about him.

I just wish everyone here could have these political battles/talks without taking it so personal. Or if they did take it personal i wish they would leave it on this thread. Because that is where it hurts, when it leaks out into the forum. And we have to kill it completly.

I still love you all

I will not sit here and try to defend it as a politically neutral film, it was not. I however did not consider it a hate piece about Obama in any way. DíSouza has his own view of Obama and why he believes that he makes the choices he does. The film does not bash Obama at all, it instead explains how DíSouza came to the conclusion he did about Obama. There was a lot of research that went into producing the film regarding Obamas past and present experiences, mentors, and influences. This was something that the lame street liberal media refused to do back in 2008. I had always looked at Obamas decisions as being pushed by an overly idea logic progressive/socialist agenda. DíSouza presented the idea that Obamas agenda is driven more by anti-colonial sentiment and black liberation theology. This was a new way of looking at Obamas decision that appears to make sense, however I do not know enough about third world colonization to say if what he presented in that regard is fact or propaganda. Also just because the conclusion can be made to fit the actions does not necessarily mean that it is the correct one(like how liberals twist the voter id laws to make it about racism, it COULD be used for that purpose but that does not mean it is so). In the end I was very happy I went and saw the movie. It provided a lot of information and facts about Obamas history that no one else has bothered to tell the American public.

I think the thing that drives the liberals nuts about this movie is the fact that DíSouza himself is brown skinned immigrant; therefore it takes away their favorite attack "HE MUST BE RACIST"!

He does not praise bush, so that takes away the "BUSH STARTED TWO WARS" deflection

DíSouza never calls Obama a Kenyan, never questions his birth place, does not call him a socialist/communist, never accuses him of wanting to destroy America so someone that has not seen the movie can stop spreading those lies. It is not filed with innuendo or attacks; it is simply information with one manís interpretation of it.

I will say me and my wife were the only people in the theatre under 50 I think LOL

I was probably the only person under 30 in the theater but it wasn't very full either. My friend went with his girlfriend the night before (Friday) and it was packed and they were the only young people there. This may be telling of something that either most young people don't care about politics (which gets my vote) or most young people don't care to see a movie about Obama. Either way, mostly older, probably wiser, folks watching it.

Definitely younger people do not care, or they fall into the "I'm voting for the cool black guy" mentality because they are not the ones that are paying for this stuff yet

I would say this page is a fine example of how this thread should be !

As to 2016, I would have to agree with MR.FX4. While everything needs to pass the smell test it is certainly food for thought ?

The problem that I feel most people have is, life is full of expectations and reality! The fundamental problem arises when our expectations do not become reality and we choose not to accept and learn from life's realitys !

Example-Obamas 2008 election win was full of expectation, but has failed to live up to reality !

BTW- if Opinyawn would apply his standards across the board to all individuals and topics ,as has been pointed out to him before, then we can certainly try to achieve mature conversation !

I just dont know you guys. Its not looking good on the election forcasts. Obama has less of a lead in swing states than he did in 08 but he still has a small lead. The problem is that people will believe anything he says and vote for him based on what he says rather than what he does.

Basically like we've said, they're voting for who they would want to have over for dinner, rather than who will do the best job leading our country.

He's full of hot air, and if you look back at all of his promises from 08-09 and then look at everything today, theres no way anyone with common sense can vote for him. What happened to "cutting the defecit in half"? "# 43 added 4.7 trillion to the defecit, and now its time for 44 to Undo it!" and all the other bullsh*t broken promises?
