This whole idea of needing 3 degrees to be successful is a false concept. Is it one way? Absolutely it is, but not the only way. I know several people i went to school with who went off to college, got a degree, and are now... waiting tables. The economy sucks and they are very surprised that that v.p. Of a company job still hasn't happened yet lol.
Yep college grads think they should make 100k a year first year out. I only did one year of college by choice and I'm doing ok as a fireman. College is a great accomplishment for one who graduates but isn't a free ticket to a good paying job.
Just to clarify, for no particular reasonable reason, I left the thread because, as entertaining as it might be, no one is ever likely to change their minds, **** people off, and risk getting banned.
Opinyawn is sort of like Aragon at the end of Return to the King (you know, that scene where they're hopelessly outnumbered and he charges the Orks at the gates of F15-Moordor), except in this version, the Ring never gets tossed. Rather Ryan (who kind of looks like Smeagol by the way) puts it on, Romney (the eye at the top of the tower who has no idea what life as an Ork is like) casts his gaze upon the White House, and no matter how hard he tries, no matter what monumental effort, eventually Aragon gets simply overrun by the Orks.
I'd be Elrond; basically, I'll help you out a bit and send you a few guys. However, I already know you can't reason with Orks, get on my boat head out of the thread, and hope someone shoves Ryan and the ring into the fires of mount doom on Nov. 6th...

College is an excellent example of the "free market" gone awry. Those who think a free market competition drives prices down and need no/less government regs., need look no further than this excellent example of:
pricing collusion...
...and what about the articles appearing on CNNFN almost every other day about banks/financial institutions getting nailed for some form of deceptive practices? Yeah, we need LESS regulation, riiiiiight....

Except gov't stuck it's fat nose into tuition loan guarantees which caused the colleges to raise tuition rates. Simple economics that when the gov't involves price support in a market, a surplus or shortage is created which is hard to fix.
Usually greedy people in the banks themselves which will still happen no matter how much regulation is imposed. People will always be greedy.
