Where are the classic lovers?

Where are the classic lovers?
I remember when I was about 13, I'd walk to the bus stop and pass by this old '78ish F-150. Of course back then it was only 10 years old. It was mildly worn, the paint was faded, and it never moved but man was it cool. I'd fantasize about what I'd do to it, or what it would be like to drive it. I really wanted that truck. I passed by a '65 on a car lot today, another good looking truck. I really like the classics, there's nothing like an old truck. It's so quiet over here, few posts, few visitors. Doesn't anybody appreciate old iron anymore?

My dad had a 77 Ranger XLT, and a 79 "GT" FIxer Upper, those GT emblems looked factory, sort of, but I knew they werent, this was over 10 years ago though, I was only 7, don't rely on my memory.
I want to build a 77 Ranger XLT to a daily driver someday

This is me and my 1st truck. It was a '76 F-150. Code name "Old Girl". She was 2 years older than the destroyer (HMCS Huron) that I was sailing on.
I eventually sold it on E-Bay for $780.00. The guy that bought it took it to Toronto and fixed her up. Then sold it to some movie fella for $25,000.00.
sigh...
How I miss her...

'morning Sean,
you should have seen the Old Girl in her day... I had a camper in the bed of the truck. Beefed up suspension to be able to carry it.
The steering wheel was 13". The horn was a toggle in the dash. Her motor was stamped 369. I never knew that Ford's 350 was 369 cubic inches though.
Yes, a bit of rust, but that only added to the character. But her box was straight as an arrow. Unlike most trucks her age, the box wasn't straight any longer. She was a very proud truck.
Without the camper in the bed of the truck... she laid a patch of rubber over 600 feet long. I had to come off the gas and hit the brakes as I was running out of parking lot. But her **** never swerved an inch while she was smoking her back tires.
I got more pics somewhere...
