Default Want to lift my 85

Hey everyone. Just bought an 85 f150 short bed lariat 4x4 about a week ago and i would like to lift it. I plan on putting 33"s on the truck and have been looking at Rough Country's 4" suspension lift. Was wondering if anyone could give me reviews on RC's lifts or know of any other descent priced lifts. Thanks!
My Instagram is jessiebarnes if anyone wants to see the truck. IDK how to post a picture on here.

For 33s you could just do a 2" spring in the front to level it and 33s look pretty good. If you went a full 4" you may aswell do 35/12.50s

Not sure what's available for you, but the RC lifts are the newer models are of good quality.

There's a ~1994-97 F150 near me with a 3" body lift and it looks really good with 33s. It's in great shape and it's one of my favorite trucks. I think it's a fine size on the older trucks as long as it has 16 or 17" wheels. I'm sure you could stuff 35s though.

Well i was gonna do 33/12.5/15 with a somewhat aggressive tire. would that look good with a 3" body lift?

Yeah, that would look perfectly fine! When I said 16 or 17s I really just meant as long as they're small wheels, so 15s are good too, like 20s would make the tires look too small and I'd want 35s.

I wish the 04+ trucks were easier to put a BL on. Yours should be pretty easy to do.

This is bone stock suspension on 31s 86 f150. Seriously if you only want 33s do a 2" front spring only. If you do the 3" body and a 2" front spring 35s are the ticket.

I don't think there's much of a price gap from 33s to 35s, isn't for 20" wheels. But they make the truck slower, put more stress on the trans, require speedo re-calibration, etc. Just something to consider.

Wish I got to buy tires for 15" wheels haha. 35" mud tires are $400 a pop for 20s.

Suspension lift > body lift > levelling kit.

4 inch suspension and 33's won't too bad but it's not a lot of tire for the lift IMO and if it was my truck, I'd go with a 35.

Default 4" lift on 84

My 84 had 4" suspension n 3" body lift. The 35" tires on 15" rims were ok but rubbed bad when turned wheel to full lock. Just my personal experience. Good luck on whatever you choose.
