I have to crank my 82 f-150 a little to start.I ran a can of sea foam in the front tank and it starts and idels better than before and not so much cranking.

I say replace the pump. Its cheap enough. WHile your at it, replace the fuel filter and the line from the pump to the carb. Cant hurt. Mine has ZERO issue. It should start like this...
