Default In need of serious help!! 86 5.0 4 speed

Ok I traded a jeep for the 86 4x4 I got now.. well it was idling high at about 2000 rpm, but it idled smooth. Well when I cranked it up today, it's spitting and sputtering and blowing black smoke out of the tailpipes, running rich. Everything seems fine looking it at. I've attached some pics and in the pics is a box with what looks like relays, well anyway there sounds like arching while running from that. Any help would be great.

The various solenoid valves do make audible clicking sounds.
I would follow the vacuum diagram and trace all the lines and make sure everything is connected and no leaks.

Run the code check / self diagnostics and see what comes up. See the link in my signature if you don't know how to run the tests.

Ok something weird happened.. I crank the truck to move it and it idled smooth, no running rich or sputtering, although it did idle high between 1500-2000 rpms. So I've determined my problem is intermittent. I need suggestions on what could cause it between now and when I can run codes. Just so I can have a base idea of what I'm looking for. Maybe there are some tests I can do on certain sensors.. I'm just trying to cover all angles

Is the idle coming down towards the 800 range when warm? Really sounds like a vacuum leak.

Was it bad or out of adjustment?
