need help with c6 trans
I have an 86 f150 302 efi. I just installed this tranny and it acts like its low on fluid, first the truck idles low, like 500 rpm[another issue] but when I put it in gear it will start to turn the rear on jack stands, just drums,no tires.
I checked line pressure and at idle it goes= 0--50--0--50--0--50 slowly. if I rev it some the needle fluctuates like crazy and goes to 70 to 90~ 120 real fast, reverse is higher maybe 160 and some what steady on the needle but drops off to 0 and back up.
this is a used trans said to be good, I pulled pan checked filter, very little sludge in pan. refilled with old fluid and new to top off.
I tried adding more fluid because it acts like its low, same result.
any ideas?
