motor help please
I'm looking at buying a 84 F150 single cab long bed. It has a 351 windsor, and automatic trans. The guy had told me that it had spun a bearing. He said that he had takin it to a machine shop had it fixed and new rings put on 30k ago. The truck now has 129k miles. The motor sounds great, and trans shifs great. The problem it has now is when ideling it sounds like it trying to flood. I had my mech. look at it and he said that it has a ignition or carb problem. So I was wondering if any else has had these problems and could help? My mech. said that he was going in for surgery soon and wouldn't be able to help more for about a month. The carb on it now is a holley 550 double pumper on a all stock 351w. So if anyone could help it would be greatly appreceated. I'm getting ready to go to work now so I will be able to answer any questions tomarrow. Thanks.
