Default Possibly buying 79 F150

Im looking into buying a 79 4x4 F150 2 door extended cab tomorrow morning. From what the current owner has told me it has the 400m with a manual trans. The current owner thinks it needs a new clutch and some of the floor sections in the rear of the cab are getting a little "crusty". Is there anything else specific that goes really bad with these trucks to keep a look out for? Mechanical issues are no big deal to me but I like to keep floor pan replacement and inside corner rust repair to a minimum. Thanks for any help or thoughts.

Make sure the frame is not "getting crusty" by checking for rust through spots unless you feel like welding plates to it.

Right off the bat I see new wheels needed, hows the engine run?

You would know better then I, I see rust on the rims? Rust+rims=No good in my book, don't like the thought of the structure loss on what could and may weaken it...

It may just be dirt?

Bobkyle you know I don't like to be contradicted!!

He'll yeah it's sweet if you plan on putting a 4bt in it and sas'sing it. That truck would be the perfect candidate for a frame up rebuild. Other than that no thanks.
