Default Lift help

I'm wanting to lift my 84 4x4 I've been looking into a rough country 4 or 6 in suspension lift but I'm leaning towards a 4in and running 35in tires my question is how difficult is it to instal from a scale 1-10? The intrusions look fairly simple but can this be done by a 18yr old shade tree mechanic? Or do I need to let the pros in the shop handle it also are their any major problems I might run into with the lift like alinement or driveshaft length?

You can definitely do it. You will need an alignment. You will probably need pinion angle shims and you may have to have your driveshafts lengthened

Also have an 84 f150 4x4 with a 6 inch rough country and 35s. Didn't do anything to the axle or driveshaft and have had no issues so far. If you have some buddies and the right tools it'd be a fun project but if it's your first big thing a shop might be a better idea.

Either or. One side at a time may be a little easier. Don't rip everything out of the truck. Just lift it up and change one or two pieces at a time.
