ok im new and have a few questions... i have a 300hp 302 that i plan to put in my truck but will the stock automatic hold that much? and is this truck a posi rear? its 2wd and im kind of doing the street truck thing........ thanx

The Ford automatic transmissions built in 84 would hold 300 hp. However, your question is very open ended. Your trans may not due to age and normal wear and tare. Also, if your truck has posi can be determined by jacking up the rear end, putting the trans in neutral. Then have one of your friends hold one of the rear tires while you turn the other. If it is posi, then his tire will try to turn the same direction as you turn your tire. If not, then it probably not.
