Default Just bought a 78 supercab.....................

I just ran across a DEAL on a 1978 F-150 supercab ranger XLT. The truck is in real nice shape no rust and it runs great. I was told it has a 351M that was just rebuilt, and a C4 three speed tranny. All the chrome is still in great shape. The only thing is that the original front seat has been replaced with bucket seats and they look awful. Is there a recomended company to order replacment parts? Just want to put it all back like it was. Thanks in advance for any help.

welcome to the site.

JCWhitney is a fair (not to be confused with 'great') choice for generic replacement stuff - if you order enough to overcome the shipping costs.

Other members have raved about lmctruck.com and rockauto.com. Haven't tried them myself, but their prices look pretty good.

Perhaps scrounge around the local junkyards - never know what gems you may find, especially on a stalwart vehicle such at the late 70s F150s.

Thanks for the info. I need to order door rubber and window felt to cut down on the wind noise. Also need to find out what type of factory seat I need to be looking for so I can relpace those awful after market seats. Will try to get pics out tommorow if it quits raining here in the heart of dixie.

Thanks I called them and they are sending out a catalog. Need to find the bench seat that the back folds down to give access to the rear seat. Going to try to send pics from the home PC over the weekend. It's a real cool truck.
