How fast should i go
So now that I've got my beast running. I've driven it a couple times. Maybe it's just me, but it feels like it drives pretty slow. Like top speed would be around 50-55. It has a 300 six. With the original 4 speed with the granny gear. Would this be caused by rear axle ratio? Or transmission?

If you have really low (higher number) gears, the motor would be wound right up by 60 miles an hour.
Check if there's a tag on your rear diff still, or jack up the back and see how many times the driveshaft turns for the wheel to go all the way around once (3 1/2 times will be 3:55, 4.1 times will be 4:10 etc)
Something like 3:55 or 3:73 gears you should easily get up to 90 - 100 mph.
And listen to it - it won't go any faster because the motor doesn't have enough power, or is it because it's wound right up and won't rev any higher ?

if it's not advancing timing you could be flooring it and not get much more than that too. would have a real hard time going up moderate hills etc. what year is it? have you done any modifications to it otherwise?
