Help with front axle
1986 f-150 4x4 manual lock hubs, not a full front axle dont know whats its called, its got the two sides separate. When I try to drive forwards front right wheel just slides along pavement. In reverse it drives just fine, it happens in both first and second gear. Manual hubs are unlocked but did some driving in four wheel yesterday. Took the wheel off and my brakes are pretty ****ty and rubbing but aint stopping it in neutral. Only occurring when in gear trying to go forwards. I dont know what the hells wrong with it.

Its called ttb. Twin traction beam.
You may have wheel bearing issues. I dunno. Without hands on this would be a tough diagnosis. Does the rotor turn forward easy when the wheel is off? Are all the wheels the same? If not you may be compressing the caliper. Any sound comming from that wheel, grinding, etc? You may even need a new hub.

Alright, I just replaced the bearings, rotors, pads, and outer hub. The hub workes fine locking and unlocking the axle. Everything spins free when jacked up but as soon as i lower it to the ground it wont spin forwards. When on the ground axle spins freely by hand but the damn wheel wont turn.

So the weight on the tire/wheel is causing it to bind on something. Something is moving when weight is put on the tire, or when the suspension is moving up into the wheel well.
