Could also use some help if anyone knows about forced induction on the 240-300 engine...

Looks cool...a little history about what went into it would be helpful. The 240/300 I6 engine family was aspirated. I would imagine that with some intake machining, a GM 3800 Supercharger could be fitted, or is that a (cough) Asian version? Not that the SHO 3.0l Yamaha was "all that".

I started another thread on a different site. But I can tell you I'm nearly finished the complete build of the supercharger. It's from a Chevy haha and the engine is the 240 cammed with hedman long tubes open plenum offy intake manifold, everything else is new on the motor from the fuel pump to all electrical, water pump new, dizzy. You name it. It's all been replaced. I also just ordered a sniper nos system for the truck to run a 50 shot after the rebuild.

As you can see in the picture the snout on the SC is too short,so we've fabricated a pully system that moves a belt behind the alternator to the SC.
It's going to be a draw through system of course. @ 8.2 pounds of boost @5600rpm
After the supercharger has been mounted and complete the engine will get an overhaul full rebuild with new pistons forged crank and valves, springs etc etc. That's in the next 5 months tho. But I will have a full guide, video and how to step by step instructions on this build so anyone can do it. It's really quite affordable. These Superchargers are cheep and the materials after the supercharger have only cost me 50$ so far. The rest is in the tools you use to custom make and measure blah blah blah stuff for it all to work. For now you can look at my gallery. I'm posting new update pictures almost every day.
I'll be done soon tho!

I know the Aussie's are taking the small 6 and making them forced induction motors. This should be a cool build for sure. I saw your picture on the Classics thread. I was thinking that the 240 had a cross flow head. Have you looked into getting one that way so it'd be easier to boost?

I've looked into Australias crossflow heads and I've been baffled at the prices. I also believe it would be the exact same process as what I'm doing but just on the other side of the engine..

You would obviously get more power but its not worth it to me to spend so much money on a head and shipping then wait for such a long time to get it. A draw through system like this build is the easiest way to supercharge but its not recommended of course. But with the reliability of these engines one could argue what I just said about draw through.

Complete mock up. Time to dump regular fuel and add 91 and start tuning.
