Diy Door panel removal
Does any one have a DIY for door panel removal on a 1982 F-150 standard cab. I can probably get them off but undoubtedly would break every clip in the door lol. JUst want to do it with out breaking any clips. Thank you

Clips are plastic and now 40+ years old - they will break
Do not worry about the broken ones.. they are readily available.
Purchase a proper door panel clip puller and try to be careful...

I was wondering weather i pull side ways or up or down and where approx these clips are located. You are correct about the oldness of the truck , yup it's 32 so far and yup things do get brittle especially plastic.

Remove the arm rest and pry from the bottom
You should be able to see each point the panel is connected to metal door
frame by the plastic door clips...then stick the curved forked removal tool under the plastic lip and pry outward...then move the next one etc.
Getting more of them in the Help section of any large auto parts store is easily done... they are bought by size/mfg. Take one out first before buying...usually they are all the same size... replace them all.
Only the first one will be a mystery to you...

Best thing I did to my truck was the sound insulation
I put B-Quiet insulation into the doors and on the floor from the front to
the rear... then added heavy rubber mats from LMC.
Made so much difference, can now carry on a normal conversation while
driving down the road and hear the radio and audio books.
Hope the person that buys my truck will enjoy it for many years... I just
got a new 2015 4X4... new truck every 30 years is OK.
