Can you hurl a paint-splattered ladder into the bed of your truck from 20 feet away and not flinch when it hits? The owner of this fine American machine- which parks just a couple blocks from Chez Murilee- can do that!

Back in '59, a base half-ton Ford Styleside pickup would have run you $1,938, or about $14,500 in 2009 bucks. For that price you got a 223-cube I6 and a three-speed manual transmission. That's way cheaper than the least expensive Ford sedan, which was the $2,132 Custom 300 Six business coupe. What a deal!

Now thats the definition of Built Ford Tough, and still on the job. My dads first truck was a 1960 F100 (different grille than the 59...). The Gen3 is one of my favorite bodystyles. Theres a ton more pics if you click the link.

My "built Ford Tough" truck is a 68 F100, an if people would stop trying to make it hard fer me, she'd be purrin real good right now. You can tell she wants to run. She's all rusted up like the one in the pix.

I know not too long ago there was a truck like that (but less rusty) on Ford Truck Fanatics that a guy was trying to sell. It already had a 390 swapped in.
I think he only wanted like $500...
