Default Dead Fuel/Temp/Oil Gauge

I have a 1976 F150 Custom with a non-stock 390 V8.

Since I bought the truck last December, the Fuel gauge has been dead, as has the temperature gauge. We think it could be the detector arm in the fuel tank is broke off and is just floating around inside, but not positive.

Is there any way to fix this issue without having to buy a new fuel tank?

Will add pictures of dash

If the tank's not leaking, you can just buy a new (in-tank) sender unit for the gauge. Check fuses and plug ins first. Could possibly just be a wiring issue. Frustrating to sort out but cheap.

How much would the sender unit cost?

Disconnect the fuel sending wire from back near the tank and ground it to the frame. The gauge should peg. If it doesn't its a wiring issue. If it does, then your sender probably needs replaced.

The temp and oil senders are had pretty cheap from the auto parts store, probably $20 for oil and $8 for temp. Easy to replace as well. Having all 3 be dead is a little suspect, but you never know.
