brake light problems....

Question brake light problems....

So.. apparently i have a problem. i have no brake light on my driver side. i have blinkers and running lights all around... noone can seem to figure it out any thoughts? i have a 1981 f150 351m400

Possibly brake light switch. Sending power to pass side but not drivers. Its mounted above the brake pedal

well that wasn't the case.... Seems to be in the blinker... If I wiggle it ever so gently I can get them to work

The blinker? The flasher unit down at the fuse box, or the arm up on the steering column? I know nothing about the inner workings of the column. But if its the little round relay it could be poor contact. You can GENTLY bend the contacts to get better contact.

Yea i pulled the steering wheel and cleaned the contacts of the turn signal assembly. It's working now but I obviously need to replace the assembly.
