1986 302 plug wires ?
We've recently come across a free 2wd 1986 F150 with a 302 V8.
We got it running after a few hours of testing. The fuel pump doesn't work but we had it running with a nbottle of gas. Long story short the plug wires are on wrong because one cyl fires through the intake.
Can someone explain how to make sure we get this together right. Diagram or explaination would be great.

Firing order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8
#1 should be marked on distributor cap. Direction is CCW.

You could have other problems such as a stuck valve.

Thank you so much. I never thought about a stuck valve. We suspected plugwires on wrong because it has 3 differentbrands of wires.
Any other advise on these trucks would be greatly apreciated. Changing fuel pump, known problems, etc... I have an 05 more familiar with those trucks than this one.
