Battery Drain Multimeter Question
Hey guys!
So, i'm an idiot with electrical. Before I pay somebody to fix this battery drain for me i'm going to give it a shot. Problem is I don't know how to read a multimeter.
So i remover the ground connection and connected the circuit. Is this a reading of 1.5 amps or 1.5 miliamps?
Side note, can anybody point me in the right direction as to what may be pulling this specific amount? I'm waiting for the wife to get home before I start pulling fuses.

That looks like 1.5 milliamps. You can move the red probe to the "10A" slot and it should read 0.0015 i think.
That isnt that much of a drain. Do you have a radio that keeps its memory? Dash clock? These can cause that.
Now if you go to the "10A" slot and it reads 1.5 that is 1.5 Amps. and that with the engine off is a HUGE draw.
As said above keep the meter on and start pulling fuses to see when the number goes to zero. Then when that fuse is determined, you can then google what is NORMALLY run off of that fuse and go from there.
