Bad ECU, Carb Conversion
Hey guys. What are the symptoms of a bad ECU (computer)? Also, what do you have to do to change to carb setup? Lower intake manifold with carb and ecu right?

Do you have automatic AOD?
If so you need to figure out how to retrofit the TV cable (Throttle Valve) to the carb. It's not just a kickdown rod! It tells the AOD when to shift for all gears. If not adjusted properly then you will burn up the tranny in a few hundred miles.
Google: [AOD tv cable] and/or look at some of the Mustang forums.
Also check with your local emissions laws. Some jurisdictions will not allow this kind of mod even on an older vehicle.

Thanks man. I'm in a free state so I should be ok (Florida). I am familiar with the tv cable and do have the aod tranny. I'll have to look at this. How does the auto c6 typically hook up? Do carb models come with the aod ever? Thanks.
