I am restoring an 85 F250 and recently bought a used dash pad from a local salvage yard.The dash pad is in decent shape for a 30 year old plastic part down here in the Florida sun.There is a small CRACK in it at the front of the pad by the front vent.I want to repair/bond it so that it does not separate and grow larger .What type/brand of material should I use to repair this pad before I paint it to match my interior?By the way I have owned a paint and body shop for 40 years and have had great results using SEM plastic paint for the dashes on these older vehicles.

A few years ago I read a thread about a dash repair using fiberglass then repainting to match
