Default 85 f150 headlights won't come on

I've been trying to trouble shoot my headlights on my 85 f150. When I turn on my headlights all my running lights and tail lights come on but no headlights. does any one know if there is an easy fix to this problem

Step on the high beam switch. That's how I get mine to work. (haven't traced the real issue of high beams not working yet)

Check for a circuit breaker for the headlights.

The fuse is good and the floor switch doesn't do any thing. When you say circuit breaker is there an actual breaker that I'm missing? there's no power at the bulbs for the head lights

85's a little early for me to say for sure - been playing with trucks in the 90's mostly the last few years. But there should be a power distribution box under the hood. The circuit breaker would most likely be in there, or the fusebox, but most likely under the hood.
Pretty sure the lights were on a circuit breaker by 85.
You'd have to check that and otherwise, assuming your wiring isn't cooked or anything, and everything's plugged in properly (and your bulbs aren't just burnt out) the most common culprit will be your dash switch or possibly your floor switch.

I'm pretty sure that the older headlight switches had a circuit breaker built into the switch just for the headlight circuit. The tail lights were protected by a fuse. Pull the connector off of the beam select switch. The red/ yellow wire should be hot with the headlight switch on.

those switches also tend to go bad very easily, the padding down there holds moisture close to them and rusts/corrodes them out

The switch tests good I pulled the one out of my other truck and it was a good switch when I pulled it. I've come to the awful conclusion that some where along the way a wire has been damaged. Does any one know which wire goes to the head lights directly?

There's no power at the lights but there's power coming from the switch it's the same problem with the wipers to but that's another post all in its self
