Ever since I sold my 58 f100 a few months back I have been itching to purchase another truck, I am tired of sticking to this C.A.R.B legal stuff! I came across a 1964 f100 short bed truck that looks pretty clean. It's been a California truck it's whole life so there is really no rush spots at all. There is a small dent on the hood, a crack in the windshield, and a half decent paint job. The thing that concerns me is the guy put a Chevy 350 in it! I know that was popular back in the day but I have never been a big fan of that swap, the thing that intrigues me about it is that I think I can get it for about $2500. What do you guys think, is it worth it?

If it looks very good underneath, I would say pick it up, Worth the price. I dont like the Chevy motor in it either, So I would look to switching it back to a ford. Just make sure the steering feels tight and brakes feel good. But from the photos It looks fairly straight.

That is a good looking truck! VERY CLEAN. I do not like the 350 either but for that price I believe you could change it back later on if you wanted too.

Sweet Truck...hard to find one not rusted out here in the great white north.
You can dump the dime a dozen boat anchor on any Chevy guy and put a few bucks towards a 302 or 351. Now a fuel injected piece would look even better under that hood!
