Default 76 F250 Custom

Me and my dad have been trying to figure out a running problem on his 76 F250 Custom. Previous to him the only other owner was my uncle. It has the 360 and a heavy duty suspension. The bottom end of the engine was rebuilt by a shop in fond du lac, WI and the top end was rebuilt by a friend of my uncles. I am unsure of when this was done but when it was done the issue of starting and staying running has been a problem. Carb has been gone through and is tuned properly. Have to use starting fluid sometimes to get it going. Any ideas on things to check out would be awesome.

I'd be looking for a vacuum leak first. That's just what it sounds like to me.

Never thought of a vac leak. We were always pointing at fuel spark or air but we knew it was getting all of that.
