74 f100 lights....
Alright guys I'm finally stumped. I have been helping my buddy restore his 74 f100. I finally got it to run and idle correct today.
The wiring it's pretty hacked from the last owner. I've been eliminating every thing that is not need in the truck. Toggle switches. Pointless buttons dead ended wires. I cleaned up the grounds for the head lights and turn signals and side marks and they started working great, right up until I tried clicking the hi beams on. Then all the lights went out. Clicked back to low beams and everything worked great. The wires to the tail lights are cut. I was gonna fix them tomorrow but. Now I'm clueless what happend. I checked just about every inch of the wired for a place that it was grounding out and found nothing. Checked the switch seems to be fine. Any idea what it could be?

High Beam Switch failure? Given it's location, and what it's exposed to...the Creepin' Crud, causing corrosion, causing a short....may be the culprit. Easy enough to by-pass with a substitute switch to be sure.
