I'm gunna be picking up a '70 F100 soon. Body is straight. No paint on it, just primer. It's ready for paint. Does anyone have a rough estimate on the cost of a COMPLETE paintjob? I was thinking Raven Black. I don't want a cheap $100 Maaco paintjob... I'll bring it to a shop to get a quote when I get it, but that probably won't be for a few weeks or a month at most. I just want to start planning what I'm going to be doing. The number I was thinking of is $4k, is that too low?

$4k will get you a really good paint job. If the body just needs to be sprayed i was thinkin 2k.

Thanks for the reply man. If it was cheaper than $4k that'd be awesome!! I'm a college kid so I don't wanna be spending all the money I get out of my Ranger on paint since I wanna do some other mods too.

4k is easily enough for a spray, As long as they dont have to fix any rust and what not. Especially if it is a single tone paint should be more than enough.
