Default 460 swap in a 1984 Ford F150

So i am a new member here. So I have a 1984 Ford F150 shortbed with a 300 I6 in it with a C4 tranny. I have the intention of putting a big block in it. Now I have bought an 1986 Ford F250 long bed with a 460 in it with a C6 tranny. Now I have been doing some resarch on this swap and see that compaines like L&L and transdapt make mounts and conversion parts for the swap.
But what I was wondering is since I have a full doner truck (F250) would that truck have everything I need to do the swap? The main thing that I am worried about is the motor mounts. Any help would be much apperciated.

You should be able to swap the frame mounts from the donor to the shortbed. Some are bolted in but the ones I've seen are riveted. But use grade 8 bolts when you swap them in and should be good to go. The 300 should be a DSII ignition but not sure what the 460 has. So might have to play with the ignition setup but that's no big deal.

Okay so next question would be about this swap. My f150 has a 8.8 rear end in it, with a factory lsd according to the vin tag on the door. Will the 8.8 hold the stock power and torque of the 460 or is going to just fall apart?

It will hold it for awhile, I put a 450 HP/500TQ 460 in my 87 f150 SB 4x4 and the 8.8 lasted for two years. Rest assured I was never gentle to this truck. You already have the truck manifolds so frame trimming (not recommended) is no concern. Just change the perches as KedwinH already mentioned and order the L&L motor mounts only. While it's out be shure to slip in a timing chain set from a 86-71 429 to help wake it up a bit. Clickey>http://www.reincarnation-automotive....son-index.html

Yeah they should work. went off track a little concerning another project I am working on. I have seen differences in frame and mount perches where there should not have been any so, I would bolt the engine to the trans (two bolts across from each other at the dowels will work) bolt the 460 perches on the engine with mounts and set it in the 84. You may need to mark and drill new mounting holes in the frame and cradle. You have everything to make it work it just may require a little drilling.
