You ll need to make some stuff, alot of stuff. What transmision in your truck.
I have seen stranger things done.
It would be easier to chase down a 240 or 300 and put in , is your block cracked wore, or just blowed up?
No, and neither is the 302. Motor mount perches on the frame are different. You'll need to get a set from a junkyard and swap them out. Also, if you truck still has the the TFI/Feedback system that will need changed. That also bring in whether or not you have smog checks/inspections where you live. You will need exhaust system and radiator for the V8. Your trans and bellhousing is about the only thing that will work.
That IH swap would be cool if you could pull it off, one of my highschool buddies put a pontiac in his ford years ago, it was cobbled, but it ran good until it exploded.
The 304 is an OK engine; I had a couple of these in my business...way back when...but they haven't been built in the last 40 years or so.. you might be better off using whatever resources you have to repair the 300...it's a good engine and you can get parts anywhere for it...plus you can soup 'em up pretty easily if that's your bent...good luck with it.
