Very cool! I will be keeping an eye on this thread. Very similar to my 85 resto project. Mine is almost out of the paint booth now though.

Opinions needed: I took a month break due to summer activities but I'm back to sanding the frame for paint. The leak spring brackets are original with no weak spots that I see, now it looks like there is some flaking/scaling rust behind the brackets (frame looks solid, no weak spots where you can stick a screw driver through it). Should I just pour some rust treatment on top and let it work its way behind the mount where it meets the frame or grind off the old rivets, take the brackets off and sand and paint? Should I stick with the motto "if it ain't broken don't fix it"

Is this piece still available? It's the rear section of the cab corner I need the inner piece as well. I'm starting to prep for the floor and rocker replacement and wanted to order all my parts.

Thanks

LMC has the coil spring seats. As far as inner cab corners I havent seen those, only the outer cab corners. I am having to resort to LMC a lot with my resto and its awful because they charge a fortune to ship to Canada. Not sure where you are from but if your in the US im sure the shipping is reasonable from them.

Chèvra,

I'm from Long Island NY, I looked in the LMC catalog and see the part in their suspension drawing but it looks like it's not available. I hate when the shipping is more than the part itself!!

So you are looking for the piece that is below number 10 in the picture? Sorry I thought that you were talking about piece 10 itself. Is yours rusted out or what?

And ya it really does suck when shipping is more then the parts. My truck is just out of paint and I ordered a couple finishing touches such as Explorer emblems and fuel door rubber bumpers. Parts were around 40 bucks and my shipping was 56 bucks.

Yes that is the part I'm loving for the sway bar end links tie into them as well. One is rusted out pretty bad and the other is not in the best condition

Send me a PM if you get really stuck for them, I might have some around.
