Seems easy to swap efi to the carb. But. If you have the AOD
Transmission you have to relocate the TV cable or as I call the shift cable. If not you will burn up that Trans in week.
The cable controls shift points up and down from the position of the throttle

The reply is correct, your potential truck and mine have to pass CA Smog every two years...

Changing to a carb would be a big California Smog NO NO... wish I had the fuel injection!

Any advice on how to take care of the wiring for this project? Everything seems simple just not to savvy when it comes to wiring and such

Default 1985 ford efi to carb

I am swapping out my 302 in my 1985 ford which is efi and I'm putting in a 351 Cleveland carb. The 351 Cleveland is a complete motor. Will the swap be easy. And can I get any information about the wiring. Thanks in advance.

Just in case you weren't aware; the 351 Cleveland is a totally different motor than a Windsor - totally different. Nothing that is currently in your truck will bolt up to it. You'll need new everything. You can use the rear diff you have. Everything from there to the radiator will have to be different.
Just so you know.
If you were putting in a 351 Windsor, most of what you already have will work.

I have the transmission, flex plate, motor mounts etc. Everything that came with the Cleveland motor ... I was wondering could I get it to running with no major modifications ... I know I have to pull the efi harness out since the Cleveland is carberated ... And get a low pressure fuel pump or a mechanical. Do you know if the wiring will give me any hard difficulties?

Shouldn't be too too difficult.
