So i have this truck that the current motor(Carb) in it is in pretty bad shape. Recently, I had a friend suggest that i buy his efi 5.0 out of a 89 fox body mustang. any thoughts on this?

Its a used engine but you can make it work. You need all the sensors, computer, new fuel system, return line to tank, etc.

Sounds like your friend wants your money! Just fix whats in it! I feel like electronics complicate the matter the old carbs are simple rebuilds! Plus keep it original my 79 is perfect I wont change anything other than the fender wells
