Question Where the heck does this white plug go? 98 5.4L

Hi everyone! I just replaced the cylinder heads, timing chains, and guides on my 98 F150 5.4L 2v. I am nearly ready to try to start it for the first time, but I can't seem to find where this white plug goes. If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate the help from you smart folks

Can't say for sure cause I have never had a 97-98 truck but it looks like the same plug on my 03s that was black and it was for the IAT sensor in the airbox.

Could be for an accessory your truck don't have. Crank it up and see if it runs ok, if it does then drive it and make sure all gauges work and no check engine light. What ever it is for will show up or not.

There was a sensor under the intake in the driver's side cylinder head that I couldn't see. I have it hooked up now. It cranks, but it runs really bad. I guess I'm going to take the timing cover back off and check the marks. I swear quadruple checked everything. OMG.

i pulled the timing cover. i used a cloyes aftermarket timing kit with a single piece crank timing gear. it didnt come with any instructions and it had two dots on the crank gear. for some reason i thought one dot was for one cam and the other dot was for the other. i dont know why i didnt compare the marks to the factory gears. the passenger side cam was on time but the drivers side cam was 4 teeth off on the crank side. i probably have some bent valves, eh? im going to put the chains on correctly and do a compression test but i have a feeling im going to be pulling at least one head. fuuuuu

That is an awful story. Glad I read it though. Good luck.
