When do you align your truck?
I know that there are several types of people: those who do preventative maintenance, those who do regular maintenance and those who only fix stuff when it breaks. My question today concerns wheel alignment, and when you feel it's necessary.
Most people probably only get one when they have new tires put on or modify the suspension, but I'm curious how many consider an alignment a preventative maintenance item?

I will align the truck whenever I;
1) notice irregular/uneven wear on my tires,
2) change any suspension or front end parts,
3) have a crooked steering wheel or vehicle pulls to one side while driving, or
4) install a new set of tires.
If none of the above happen, I just let it be...

I usually get a firestone lifetime alignment. Then every time I rotate tires and change oil I also get it checked.....its free, preserves the tires, and improves gas mileage. So if you have the lifetime, its just a bit of your time.

Had a leaking strut replaced on the driver's side of my 2013 F150, got an alignment, had them make sure the steering wheel was centered. Steers a little better. Wouldn't do it if I replaced the tires unless they were wearing uneven.
