Just, for the love of God, get onto forums like this one and BITOG and do your own research... pretty much anyone you talk to at a shop is going to tell you all the fears and woes of any "additive." Only you can really take the time to truly fact-check what you use.

Well, I value him as a friend more than a mechanic. His father only does transmissions, and he rebuilt mine for me. We've known each other for more than half of my life. So I value his input, particularly since he rebuilt my tranny.

That said, I usually do lots of research before doing anything, a side effect of my paralegal degree and legal research background. Been using the Lucas in the fuel cause that's what my grandfather and mother had always used, no reason to change as of yet.

Saw the Techron at the auto parts store and almost bought it, I'm low on the Lucas and figured maybe changing it up would be good, see if there is a change.

Of course the manual says not to use any additives of any kind. So I pretty much am confined to personal reviews, which sorry if it offends you, but I'll take the word of my real world friends over some dude on the internet any day.

Not that I won't take into consideration online input. Why do you think I'm here?
