Dealer installed wheel bearing ripoff?
I was traveling out of state at the holidays and had a wheel bearing go bad on my '12 SCrew. It was zero degrees so I took it to a dealer and bit the bullet to have it done. It turned out the other one was not far behind so when I got home I bought one from a dealer on eBay and picked up a service manual.
Upon inspection, the part the dealer installed does not look anything like the one on the other side or the replacement I have in the garage. I've attached pictures of the backs of the bearings on the truck. The one with the dimple is from the factory. It looks like the Motorcraft part I bought except the Motorcraft has black paint on the back.
I called the dealer and they insist it is a Ford part but I'm not convinced. What do you guys think?

To be clear about my OP, the corroded looking one is the "new" one installed by the dealer.

MotorCraft does NOT sell factory parts. It sells parts made by any mfr. who agrees to Ford's terms. Sometimes, you can buy several MC parts with the same PN, label, & box from several mfrs. at the same time. But that's more common over several years.
The point is: 2 MC parts with the same PN will not necessarily look 100% identical to the assembly-line part, OR to each other. So you can't go by looks. While you're messing with installing the 2nd new one, take a closer look at the first new one - see if it has the Ford/MC PNs laser-etched like the one you just bought (though NOT necessarily in exactly the same place).
