Default Vacuum problem

I have an '03 4.6 ext 2wd. When taking off from a dead start, or accelerating, i hear a vacuum noise, and the air stops blowing through the vents and comes out of the defrosters. Where do i start? Any response appreciated.

The diverter is vacuum operated and a hose is leaking or fell off.
