Upgrading Rotors on a 2012 Supercrew - Questions
My 2012 super-crew-short is close to needing brakes at 43500 miles. Over the last month, I have felt some shake under the brake pedal and on inspection, the front rotor feels like it has a rib or two. Having watched many TV truck shows about the benefits of upgrading brakes and rotors on these trucks, I went by my local Ford Service Center that services my Ford and asked them what they thought. The service tech and writer both agreed to upgrade the rotors and keep the Ford semi-metallic pad assemblies. When I asked what type of rotor is best on my truck both on them said go research and figure it out, we will install them.
So the question is what upgraded rotor works best on a 2012 F150 Eco Lariat Supercrew that tows once in a while?
What rotor manufacturer has the best overall performance based on:
1. Noise (Does not add to noise of pads)
2. Durability
3. Best dissipating heat
4. Best for ease of replacement to OEM rotors
5. Cost
6. Warranty
What brands?
EBC Sports, Powerstop, Baer?
Thanks
