Truck Beds? Question For Body Guys.
I bought a '07 F-150 FX4, it's been rebuilt, just had front end damage. It originally had a stepside bed on it, when the shop got the truck in i asked if they could out a regular style bed on and they told me no. So it goes a while and they called me and asked if i still wanted a regular bed put on so i said yes. Is there any difference in the way these two beds bolt on? The reason i ask is when i go down the road, and i hit some bumps, i look in my mirrors and i can see my bed bouncing up and down and around, not too bad but enough to notice, is this normal ? The bed is soild, you push on it, try to shake it and it's on there pretty good. I was thinking that it being an FX4 with the stiff shocks and hard tires don't help, maybe that would be the cause ??

There shouldn't be any different mounting points on the boxes. I am wondering if what you are seeing is just the cab flexing differently from the box? I would crawl underneath and check all of the mounting points on the box just to make sure everything is tight.

Thanks for the reply. I'm pretty sure it's not the cab. I can look in my mirror and see the bed moving. The part that really moves is the back end of the bed, and the tailgate end, just seems like its on springs or something. I don't know, maybe this is normal.
