Default Transmission Issue

I have a 2004 (newer model) F150 extended cab XLT step side...........
After shifting into Overdrive the transmission will jump around occasionally, causing a "jerk".
I must admit that I have 160,000 without any issues since I bought this truck new.....so I'm certainly due for a few troubles......but I've never changed the differential fluid so I made an appointment at AAMCO to replace the fluid and gasket for $89.95 this week.
Is old fluid possibly the problem or do I have a another issue?
Thanks for any help!

I think you are looking at a much greater issue and the 89 dollar service, may be a waste of time!

So do you have any idea what the "greater issue" may be??

My bad......I failed to mention that I replaced the transmission with a rebuilt Ford tranny at 99,000 with a 100,000 mile FORD warranty......so I'm not thinking it's that........

digital trucker......I think you're right, but changing the differential fluid is certainly due, also.
