Transmission Fluid Change at 90,000 miles
I just did my transmission fluid and filter change today. Wondering if there's anything I should do to break the fluid in? Baby it for a few days or what not?
Yes, first change as far as I know. The yellow mystery piece was still in the pan.
I will say this, the fluid was still pink and smelled good, not burnt. The magnet was pretty dirty but not bad and the pan looked fine. filter didn't look bad either, just covered obviously.
Don't tell me its going to blow up, please... lol

No Worries:
There is no "break in" period for new fluid. I'm not very comfortable with running tranny fluid for much over 50K, even the so-called "filled for life" fluids....but maybe I'm just too conservative.
