Default Timing Chain

I am slightly confused, have read conflicting information about recommended intervals for timing chain replacement, what is Fords recommendation, and what is the best practice. Any guidance to help with this confusion.

My 5.4 V8's book says to replace the timing chain at 150,000 miles. Don't know if I will still have it at that point though.

just did my 5.0 at 190K. it was loose but i've seen worse. ford says 1/8 in. deflection. if your over 150K i'd think about it. its a real fun job.
