Default Time for New Shocks?

So my truck currently has a little over 72,000 miles on it and the shocks are still factory. I've also been noticing the ride is more bumpy than usual lately. I went to jump of the tailgate today and I noticed that the left rear shock is squeaking quite loudly. I was wondering if this was a tell-tale sign to replace shocks or if it could be an indicator of something else?

I actually just got an HBS leveling kit in the mail and was planning on having it installed tomorrow with new tires but now I'm wondering if I should wait and get Bilstein 5100's instead.... Any suggestions?

I took a video of both rear shocks too so if anyone would like to see that I'd be more than happy to upload a copy to youtube.

Bump. Anyone? Just looking to know if this is a shock issue or something else.

Generally, if they aren't leaking they are still good. Doesn't mean they aren't tired and should be replaced. Still all about performance. I believe the recommended change interval for shocks is 50,000 mi? Good time to change them.

That's what I was going to suggest but I figured he'd pin pointed the noise.

I had considered it but after having felt such a difference in ride quality lately I just figured that it had to be the shocks. I ordered Bilstein 5100's today but I guess I have to look into the springs as well.
