Default Steady Whistle Noise

I own a 2011 lariat and she began making this whistling noise when I drive. I took it to the ford dealership to get a diagnostic but they cant figure out what it is (really?) The ac doesn't seem to affect it and it is a steady noise that happens while i am driving only, not while i am stopped. Most people cannot seem to hear it but I can hear it clearly when i roll my window down while i am driving. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

Check you ideler pullies or your tensioner pullies. I had what seems to be the same problem in my 2007 f150. Hope this helps!

Would you be able to elaborate on what I should be looking for with the pullies? I am a female who is in no way mechanically inclined and would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you in advance!

Does the pitch of the whistle change when you drive faster or slower? Does the pitch of the whistle change when you jump on the gas and rev the engine?

I had the same problem with my 2007. I have a k&n cold air intake as well. The cold air intake can cause this whistle. It does on mine

Windshield can develop a random whistle while driving.Windshields only use sealer theses days and not a rubber like older trucks. I had a 2008 Silverado that did it. I had a glass shop reseal the window and it stopped. I understand it can be hard to find. Also brakes can exhibit whistling noises if they get grit stuck in the pad. Sometimes a simple hosing off of the front wheels/brake pads will clear the issue.

I am having the same issue. The whistle gets more frequent the faster I go, but as soon as I hit the brakes it pretty much stops. I also feel a pulsation in the pedal. Could be be part of a bad resurfacing job on the rotors? Either way it is driving me INSANE!
