Default Spark plugs

I have a 2008 Ford F150 with 48,000 miles and I was wondering if it would be better to go ahead and change my spark plugs now, or just wait until 100,000 miles? It has a 5.4 and from the stories I've heard I don't know what the best solution would be.

I have same dilemma. I got 2008 5.4L with almost 40k miles. Last weekend I decided to change plugs when I hit 40k. Dealer is asking $395 plus $95 for every one that breaks. Hmmm, that is way too much so I'll be getting lisle tool and changing them next week. I will stick to MC plugs, since everyone on this forum recommends!!

Just change it. BTW good luck!!!

Run carbon cleaner in your gas for about 50 miles and at the same time spray wd40 on top of plugs when you do remove them use a long handle strong arm and work the plug back and forth not to much distance and spray more wd40 while doing this, good luck.

This may be a stupid question, but I'm going to go ahead and ask it; do the replacement spark plugs come in two piece, or just one single like they should be?

Champion makes a one piece but I have heard the don't last and are very problematic. The motorcraft is still The two or three piece plug if installed correctly I haven't heard of any problems
